The Top Ten: Week 17

by The Executive Director

First, let’s talk turkey. A reminder of what’s at stake as we head to the playoffs:

Regular Season Payouts

Overall Champion: $560
Division Winner: $280
Division Winner: $280
Division Winner: $280

Playoff Prizes

First Place: $980
Second Place: $280
Third Place: $140

Note: Ties are broken by the franchise with the higher winning percentage. In the event of a tie, the wins/losses of the franchises in question will be recounted for ALL games in the 2010 season to make sure that the percentage number is accurate.

Note #2: The four division winners will make the playoffs, along with five wild card teams.

Note #3: A reminder that wild card bets cannot be carried over to the playoffs.

Now, on to the rankings…..

Commentary: T-Ferg knew he had to make his move – and boy did he ever make it. He won his big bet and went from having his season end to being in prime playoff position. The division leaders remained the same, and each has a different challenge heading into Week 17. There are still a handful of franchises alive for the overall title, as well as many in the mix for the playoffs. Anything can happen with one week to go.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. The Beard of Zeus ($2,400; 1)
The Beard eked out $100 and maintains the overall lead. He leads the rest of his division by $1,000, so it will be tough for him to lose the division, but anything is possible. He still has his wild card bet left if he wants to use it.

2. Mr. Marbles ($2,300; 2)
A big week for Mr. Marbles. He dispatched of Yaz and the other South wannabes, clinching the division with a perfect week. He could be the only representative from the division. Marbles also has his wild card bet on the shelf. He has nothing to lose since he has wrapped up the divisional crown, but now it’s just a strategic chess match for the overall title. Gold, Jerry, Gold!

3. Karl Farbman ($1,600; 3)
The tightest race is in the East, where Farbman won another $100 and kept his $300 lead on the rest of the division. He’s $800 off the pace for the overall lead, but in comfortable playoff position. He also still has his wild card bet. This could get interesting.

4. Ron Mexico ($1,400; 4)
Mexico is up $600 in the West, so he is in the catbird’s seat heading into the finale. As long as he can pick a few winners, the division is his. If he puts up a goose-egg, it will open the door for the rest of the division.

5. Kiko Garcia ($1,400; 6)
Kiko was one bad Eagles game from being third in the overall chase. Instead he’s in the number one wild card spot. He’s $1,000 off the division lead, so he’ll need a miracle to win that one. Starting with Kiko, none of the teams 5-10 have clinched a spot. Each could be on the outside looking in one week from now.

6. Bayonnaise ($1,300; 7)
Bayonnaise held serve and is still just $300 off the pace in the East. He’s holding the second wild card berth but can’t rest on his laurels in Week 17.

7. T-Ferg ($1,200; NR)
The hottest team in Funny Money, T-Ferg had a perfect wild card week. He won $1,000 and now sits in the third wild card spot. He’ll need another solid week to make the postseason, but he’s got momentum on his side.

8. Boss Hardigan ($800; 8 )
Hardigan can’t seem to put together a good week. He’s $600 off the pace in the division and holds the fourth playoff berth by virtue of a tiebreaker. He has some ground to make up if he wants cash for the regular season.

9. Babe ($800; 5)
Awful week from Babe. It looked as if he was going to coast into the playoffs. Instead, he loses $500 and is clinging to the final postseason spot. Could this be a repeat of the 2009 Week 17 debacle in which his picks were late? Time will tell.

10. Larisa Oleynik ($500; 9)
Larisa is $300 out of the playoffs right now, but the good news is that there are two franchises $300 ahead of her. Surpass one, and she’ll be dancing into January.

THE OTHERS – (BONUS COMMENTARY!): Those below the Top Ten but still with a fighting chance: Rick Moranis, who has come on strong the last few weeks and is at $400; Slovy Maximus, at $200 but still in it; The Notorious A.B.T., at $100, who was brutalized by having late bets last week; Teddy KGB at $0 who needs everyone to fall down in front of him, but still isn’t out of it; and The 21th Precinct, who needs a miracle, but still has his wild card bet so he can mathematically get in with everything going his way.

The Top Ten: Week 16

by The Executive Director

Commentary: Whew. New England and Dallas sunk most of the league. Two franchises lost their wild card bets. The overall lead grew in the Beard of Zeus’ favor, while most of the division races stayed the same. Of all the teams in the wild card chase (aside from the division leaders sans Ron Mexico), only T-Ferg has his big bet remaining, so he could make a huge leap. Quietly, Rick Moranis won his Philadelphia wild card bet in thrilling fashion, but still needs two great weeks to make the playoffs.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. The Beard of Zeus ($2,300; 2)
Wow. The Beard won a meager $100 last week but survived the bloodbath and now has a $500 lead on the rest of the field. However – he has two division foes that are within striking distance. He still has his wild card bet.

2. Mr. Marbles ($1,800; 1)
Marbles dropped $500 but has a stranglehold on the South. His $1,700 is almost unbeatable and all he needs is one or two correct picks this week to clinch. If he does, Week 17 could get interesting in terms of the overall title – Marbles still has his wild card bet as well.

3. Karl Farbman ($1,500; 3)
Farbman lost five hundo too, but stayed atop the East because everyone else did just as poorly. He’s $800 behind the overall leader and only has a $300 lead with two weeks to go, so anything can happen. Farbman also has his wild card bet left.

4. Ron Mexico ($1,300; 4)
The West continues to be a roller coaster ride. Mexico loses $500 and his big lead. He’s now up $400 on the rest of the division.

5. Babe ($1,300; 6)
Babe also weathered the storm and is hanging around within earshot of the division title. He’s got a small percentage edge on Kiko Garcia, so as of now, he holds the first wild card spot.

6. Kiko Garcia ($1,300; 7)
One of the few franchises to do relatively well in Week 15, Kiko is surging at the right time. He’s just a fraction behind Babe and now has the second wild card spot in a very tight race for the postseason.

7. Bayonnaise ($1,200; 5)
Bayonnaise suffered the most from losing $500 of all the top franchises last week. He’s now in the third wild card spot, but only $300 out of the lead in the East.

8. Boss Hardigan ($900; 8 )
Hardigan held his own and is fourth in line for the playoffs. Even better, he’s one big week from taking the lead in the West. He’s also one bad week from being on the outside looking in.

9. Larisa Oleynik ($600; 9)
Larisa is now only $900 off the pace for the division lead in the East and is clinging to the last postseason berth.

10. Slovy Maximus ($500; NR)
Slovy needs a $500 week to get into playoff position. However, he could do another of his signature four-teamer bets and hope that the rest of the Funny Money suffers once again.

OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES: T-Ferg; Teddy KGB; Rick Moranis

DROPPED OUT: Mr. DeBlasis

The Top Ten: Week 15

by The Executive Director

Commentary: With three weeks left, things are tightening up in the Funny Money. The overall leaderboard is close, but aside from the East, the divisional races could be basically decided if the leaders can have mediocre Week 15 bets. There is a gaggle of teams around the last wild card spot ($700), so it will be a dogfight coming down the stretch. Ten franchises still have their wild card bets, keeping guys like Will Cover and the Notorious A.B.T. within dangerous striking distance because they could jump $1,000 in any given week. 21 days from now, we’ll know the nine that will go onto postseason glory.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. Mr. Marbles ($2,300; 1)
Life is good for Mr. Marbles. Even though he lost $100, he maintained the overall lead, and has a $2,100 advantage with three weeks left. The way things are going, me might shelf his wild card bet for 2010.

2. The Beard of Zeus ($2,200; 2)
The Beard was one Tampa Bay stop away from taking a commanding overall lead. Instead, he lost $100 and stays right behind Mr. Marbles. He’s up $1,000 in the North and still has his wild card bet.

3. Karl Farbman ($2,000; 4)
A big week for Farbman. He turned a $100 deficit into a $300 lead in the division. He’s $300 off the overall pace and can take control with a strong Week 15.

4. Ron Mexico ($1,800; 5)
Mexico’s roller coaster ride continues. Just when he seems to stumble, he comes back with a vengeance. A perfect week and he now leads the West by $800 with a mere three weeks left.

5. Bayonnaise ($1,700; 3)
Make no mistake, the ‘Naise has had a terrific season and should be able to coast into the playoffs with a good chance to win the East. But the more remarkable thing is NO FINES THIS ENTIRE YEAR so far. However, he does have the current record for Most Bets Placed at 11:58pm.

6. Babe ($1,200; 7)
Babe holds serve and stays in prime playoff position. He won $100 and currently holds the second wild card berth. If he wants to make a run at the North title, time is running out…

7. Kiko Garcia ($1,000; 9)
Kiko comes a live with a great week. Only a late bet fine kept him from a perfect week. If the season ended today, he’d be in the playoffs.

8. Boss Hardigan ($1,000; 8 )
It’s almost certain that at least one additional playoff team will come out of the West. They’ve been switching positions all season and now Hardigan seems to have a postseason berth in his grasp. Can he keep it up?

9. Larisa Oleynik ($700; NR)
For those who thought Larisa had liquefied and gone down the drain, disappearing from existence, you were wrong. Larisa is clinging to the last playoff spot (via tiebreaker) after a $500 week!

10. Mr. DeBlasis ($700; 6)
Rough week from DeBlasis. He went from controlling his playoff destiny to being on the outside looking in. Losing $500 dropped him into fourth in the East and it will be challenge for him to have any say in the fight for the division title.

The Top Ten: Week 14

by The Executive Director

Commentary: For the most part, things stayed the same after Week 13. The overall leader switched again, but other than that the league remained as it was last week. The Phoenix dropped his wild card, so now there are only ten franchises with their big bet left. A few of those with their wild card are slowly making a run at the playoffs, so a $1,000 week could shake up the postseason picture. In sad news, Face cannot pick a winner. Four weeks to go.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. Mr. Marbles ($2,400; 2)
Marbles recaptures the overall lead with a $500 week. More importantly, there are four weeks to go and he has a $2,000 lead on the rest of his division. He can almost seal up the division title with a solid Week 14.

2. The Beard of Zeus ($2,300; 1)
The Beard won $300, so he lost the overall lead. But his margin for error in the North is growing. He’s up $1,200 and still has his wild card bet.

3. Bayonnaise ($1,800; 3)
The best divisional race is in the East, where the ‘Naise kept rolling with a $500 week. He’s $600 off the overall lead…

4. Karl Farbman ($1,700; 4)
…but Farbman is right on his heels. He, too, had a $500 week and is just $100 behind Bayonnaise. Farbman currently holds the first wild card spot.

5. Ron Mexico ($1,300; 5)
Ron won $100 as not much changed in the West. He still maintains a $600 lead on the rest of the division, so anything can happen. If he could summon up a perfect week, it would put some distance between him and the West with three weeks to go.

6. Mr. DeBlasis ($1,200; 6)
Lost among the East divisional race is that Mr. DeBlasis is still within shouting distance. He’s $600 off the divisional pace, and would have the second wild card spot if the season ended today.

7. Babe ($1,100; 7)
Babe has maintained a steady pace over the last few weeks, and is in prime playoff position. Time is running out to make a run at the division, but one bad week and he could be on the outside looking in for the postseason.

8. Boss Hardigan ($700; 8 )
Hardigan has quietly positioned himself for a late-season run. Right now, he has the fourth wild card spot and is one solid week from passing Ron Mexico for the West.

9. Kiko Garcia ($600; NR)
The big winner in Week 13 was Kiko Garcia. He went 3-for-3 on his picks and leaped over the contenders to put himself into the last playoff spot. He’ll need to keep it up over the next few weeks, as eight franchises are within $500 of the last postseason berth.

10. Slovy Maximus ($500; 9)
Slovy is flying under the radar, but is also within reach of the West. Right now, he wouldn’t make the playoffs, but he should be in the mix down the stretch.

OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES: The Notorious A.B.T.; Yaz; Gordon Bombay; Larisa Oleynik

The Top Ten: Week 13

by The Executive Director

Commentary: There wasn’t a ton of shakeup in The Top Ten this week. The potential playoff teams seem to be distancing themselves from the rest of the pack. With five weeks to go, the next two weeks are crucial for many franchises. It will determine who is competing for a division crown, who is fighting for a playoff spot, and who is a cellar dweller.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. The Beard of Zeus ($2,000; 3)
The Beard takes over the number one spot after an impressive week. He has a $1,000 lead on his division and his wild card bet available. Looking good with five weeks left.

2. Mr. Marbles ($1,900; 1)
Though Marbles lost the overall lead, the rest of his division faltered. He is the only member of the South Division to make The Top Ten this week. Marbles has a $1,600 lead on the rest of his division.

3. Bayonnaise ($1,300; 5)
The see-saw battle continues in the East. This week Bayonnaise takes over the lead.

4. Karl Farbman ($1,200; 4)
Farbman is not close behind the ‘Naise, but loses the lead and $300 on the week. The one advantage (or disadvantage depending on how you look at it) Farbman has for the divisional race is his wild card still on the shelf.

5. Ron Mexico ($1,200; 2)
A rough week for Ron, as he loses $500 and goes from being on the cusp of the overall lead to $800 off the pace. He also had a prime opportunity to increase his lead on the rest of the West.

6. Mr. DeBlasis ($1,100; 6)
Lost in the Bayonnaise/Farbman battle, Mr. DeBlasis has quietly put himself just $200 behind the East leader. Given his past successes, DeBlasis is sure to be a factor as we enter the last month of the season.

7. Babe ($1,000; 7)
Babe has kept himself in the divisional race and has his grip on a playoff spot if the season ended today. Can he make a late-season run at the Beard of Zeus?

8. Boss Hardigan ($600; 8 )
Hardigan lost $300 but actually gained on Ron Mexico. He’s also in playoff position, but a herd of possible contenders are charging behind him.

9. Slovy Maximus ($400; NR)
The Slov lost three out of his four bets and currently holds the last playoff spot due to a winning percentage tiebreaker.

10. Gordon Bombay ($400; NR)
Bombay is making sure his hat will be in the ring come the last few weeks of the season. He’s right on the edge of the playoffs and is now within striking distance of the division yet again.

The Top Ten: Week 12

by The Executive Director

Commentary: In Week 11, the rich got richer and several franchises below the equator began their respective playoff pushes. Four men bet their wild card and all four won (Mr. DeBlasis, Teddy KGB, Boss Hardigan, Babe). At the top, the current division leaders all won $500 last week, and some seem to be pulling away. With the short week to bet this week, this could be a make-or-break type of week for franchise hovering around mediocrity.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. Mr. Marbles ($1,800; 1)
The pace car right now, Marbles won another $500 and maintains the overall lead, but the rest of the league is nipping at his heels.

2. Ron Mexico ($1,700; 3)
Ron is making a great run. Another $500 week and now has a $800 lead in the division. The top four teams in the West have all used their wild card bets, so his lead is the safest in the FMFL right now.

3. The Beard of Zeus ($1,700; 4)
The Beard keeps on churning, fueled by sauerkraut and beef jerky. He’s got a $800 lead in the North.

4. Karl Farbman ($1,500; 5 )
Farbman won $500 to retake the lead in the East, which is the only division with even two franchises over $1,000 (the East has three).

5. Bayonnaise ($1,400; 2)
The ‘Naise would figure that +$100 would be a decent week. But with everyone else’s successes, he lost the lead in the East and slipped down the Top Ten. He’s the leading Wild Card team as of now.

6. Mr. DeBlasis ($1,000; 7)
Kind of a weird week for DeBlasis. He won his wild card bet, but lost his other wager and also had late bets. +$500 on the week. He’s in contention for sure, but didn’t gain a ton of ground on the rest of the field.

7. Babe ($900; 9)
Babe won his wild card bet but lost his other wager, netting $600 on the week. He’s still $800 behind the Beard.

8. Boss Hardigan ($900; NR)
Hardigan went from slumping to slump-busting with a $1,000 week. He jumped over a few contenders in the West and is now only $800 out of the division lead.

9. Teddy KGB ($700; NR)
Just like that, Teddy is back in it. A huge $1,000 week (including a wild card bet win) and he’s up to second place in the South. If the season ended today, he’d be in the playoffs.

10. Kiko Garcia ($600; 10)
Kiko has weathered the storm and is close to playoff position. However, with his wild card bet already spent, he could be leapfrogged in the final weeks.

OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES: Will Cover; Slovy Maximus; Gordon Bombay; Larisa Oleynik

DROPPED OUT: The People’s Champ; Gordon Bombay

The Top Ten: Week 11

by The Executive Director

Commentary: Overall, the league has been doing a little bit better in the past few weeks. All of the would-be playoff teams are in the positive, and we are returning back to the normal projection of the Funny Money season. Traditionally, the final playoff spot is around $1,000, with the overall leader around $2,300. We could be headed that way with seven weeks to go and a ton of franchises with their wild card bets still on the shelf.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. Mr. Marbles ($1,300; 1)
Just a $100 week for Mr. Marbles, but he created some space between the rest of the South. He now has a $600 lead.

2. Bayonnaise ($1,300; 5)
Big boy Bayonnaise wins $500 and takes over the East! He’s tied for the overall lead and is on a huge run the last three weeks.

3. Ron Mexico ($1,200; 7)
In another division race that changed leaders, Ron Mexico won $500. That, paired with a bad week for Gordon Bombay, has given him a $800 lead in the West.

4. The Beard of Zeus ($1,200; 8 )
The biggest division disparity is still in the North, where the Beard leads the rest by $900.

5. Karl Farbman ($1,000; 2)
Farbman lost $100 and the lead in the East. Right now he sits atop the Wild Card standings, but needs a big week to get back in it.

6. The People’s Champ ($700; 3)
The Champ is still in the playoff mix as well, but is losing ground in the division with each passing week.

7. Mr. DeBlasis ($500; 6)
DeBlasis went “conservative” with a five-teamer. The result: one win, four losses. He’s now $800 back in the division, but has his hands on a playoff spot.

8. Gordon Bombay ($400; 4)
A big swing in the West. Bombay lost $500. What was a $200 lead is now a $800 deficit. A $1,000 swing leaves Gordie clinging to a playoff spot.

9. Babe ($300; NR)
Babe won $500 and would sneak into the playoff if the season ended today. Is this the beginning of a late-season run?

10. Kiko Garcia ($300; NR)
Kiko almost had a perfect week. He is on the outside looking in of the playoffs because of his poor winning percentage, so he’ll need to bring the noise in the coming weeks.

OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES: Kenny Powers; Slovy Maximus; Will Cover

11.09.2010

The Top Ten: Week 10

by The Executive Director

Commentary: All of a sudden we are past the halfway point and heading toward home. With eight weeks left in the regular season, three of the four divisional races are tight, as is the race for the five wild-card spots. In the last few weeks, the league has rebounded from a brutal first half of the season, now with almost half the league on the positive side of zero. In Week 9, Yaz won his wild card bet and got back to $0, but still needs to make a run to get into the playoff picture. 17 franchises still have their big bet left.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. Mr. Marbles ($1,200; 5)
Marbles rises to the top with a $500 week. The division race in the South is heating up.

2. Karl Farbman ($1,100; 3)
A push and a win helped Karl maintain the lead in the East. He leads by $300 and trails the overall leader by $100.

3. The People’s Champ ($1,000; 2)
The rare completely even week for the Champ. One win – one loss – one push. He stayed at $1,000 but lost the lead in the division.

4. Gordon Bombay ($900; 1)
Another great division race in the West, Bombay won $200 and kept his lead over long-time rival Ron Mexico.

5. Bayonnaise ($800; 4)
The ‘Naise eked out $100 (one win and two push games). He has solidified himself as a contender in the three-horse race in the East.

6. Mr. DeBlasis ($800; NR)
DeBlasis is back in it after a perfect week. He trails Farbman by $300 but now sits in wild-card position.

7. Ron Mexico ($700; 7)
Mexico split his bets and stayed within earshot of Gordon Bombay in the West.

8. The Beard of Zeus ($700; 6)
The Beard has the largest lead of any franchise in the FMFL. His closest North Division foe is $700 behind. Granted that we have a long way to go, if the B of Z can win $500 this week, he’ll create a big gap with only seven weeks to go.

9. Boss Hardigan ($400; NR)
The Boss is alive after a $500 week. He’s in the playoff picture and could even make a run at the division if he can put it together the next few weeks.

10. Teddy KGB ($300; 10)
Ditto for Teddy, who won $500 and got a little closer to the top of the league.

The Top Ten:

by The Executive Director

Commentary: Four franchises bet their wild cards in a crazy Week 7. Two franchises won (Gordon Bombay and Bayonnaise) and will appear in the Top Ten. Two franchises lost (Art Schlichter and Waldo Geraldo Faldo) and will not appear in the Top Ten. As we head toward the halfway point of the season, the cream seems to be rising toward the top, with a lot of familiar names climbing to the lead in the divisions. And all seems right in the world with Rick Moranis back in the cellar and sporting a putrid 3-12-3 (0.250 winning percentage) on the year.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. Gordon Bombay ($600, 5)
Historically one of the league’s top franchises, Bombay nailed his wild card bet, but lost his other wager, winning $600 on the week. It was enough to get him to the top of the West and he is now the pole sitter in The Top Ten.

2. The People’s Champ ($500, 3)
The Champ hit three out of four in Week 7 and still holds the lead in the South.

3. Karl Farbman ($300, 2)
Another week with Farbman splitting his games, yet he still leads the East Division. But hold on a second – who is that strutting up the leaderboard?….

4. Bayonnaise ($200, NR)
…..it’s Bayonnaise all right. A $1,000 week for the ‘Naise shoots him right to the top of the heap. He’s $100 out of the division lead and $400 out of the overall lead, just like that.

5. Mr. Marbles ($200, NR)
Marbles won $500 and closed the gap on the People’s Champ in the South.

6. The Beard of Zeus ($100, 4)
Much like Farbman, the Beard is just hanging on for dear life in the North. He lost $100 on the week, but still has his icy grasp on the division.

7. Ron Mexico ($100, 1)
Ron was red hot heading into Week 7, but he lost both of his bets, his division lead, and now he faces a $500 deficit going into Week 8.

8. Babe (-$100, NR)
Just when we thought Babe had been pronounced dead on the table, he comes back to life with a big $500 lead. He’s just $200 back in the North.

9. Face (-$100, 7)
Face was just one game away from a perfect week as well. The Beard of Zeus might be able to hear the footsteps trailing closely behind him….

10. Teddy KGB (-$100, 9)
Things are starting to pick up in the South, so Teddy needs to step up his game if he wants to contend.

The Top Ten: Week 7

by The Executive Director

Commentary: Before going into the commentary, a few programming updates. We are two weeks away from the highly anticipated MIDSEASON REPORT. As we approach the second half, remember that all Thursday night games (except for Thanksgiving) will be off the board. Also, remember that NINE total teams make the playoffs. The four division winners, and the top five overall franchises that are non-division winners (wild card teams). Winning percentage is the tiebreaker. Once the second half of the season starts, the wild card standings will be at the bottom of the weekly standings sheet. Now on with the show.

In Week 6, two franchises hit on their wild card bets, but not in a huge way, as they both had trouble stringing bets together. The division winners stayed where they were, except for in the South where The People’s Champ took over. Ron Mexico increased his lead and could look to distance himself in Week 7. So far, 6 franchises have placed their wild card bet. 22 franchises still have it on the shelf.

(current total; last week’s ranking)

1. Ron Mexico ($600, 1)
A new mainstay at the top of the rankings? Ron went 1-0-1 this week and increased his overall lead and lead in the West.

2. Karl Farbman ($200, 3)
K-Farb eked out $100, but stays atop the East.

3. The People’s Champ ($200, 4)
The Champ also only won $100 this week, but due to the rest of his division faltering, takes the lead in the South. It seems as though the cream is beginning to rise to the top.

4. The Beard of Zeus ($200, 6)
Nice week of picks by the Beard. He was only an Indy push away from a perfect week. His lead is now $400 in the North.

5. Gordon Bombay ($0, NR)
And just like that, in one single week, Bombay is back in the mix. $500 won on two games. He made it look easy.

6. Mr. DeBlasis (-$100, 8 )
DeBlasis is hanging around and might be onto something by betting lots of games in this topsy-turvy season. His overall record is 10-7-2, which is a winning percentage of 0.579, which leads the league.

7. Face (-$200, 9)
Face clawed his way to a small gain this week. If he could get hot this week, the division lead is in his sights.

8. Boss Hardigan (-$100, NR)
A solid week by Boss Hardigan has him within shouting distance of Ron Mexico.

9. Teddy KGB (-$200, 2)
What goes up, must come down. After two perfect weeks, Teddy loses $500. He’s a few weeks early on his annual November swoon.

10. Slovy Maximus (-$200, NR)
Slovy won his wild card, but only gained $400 overall for the week. Still, he’s right in the playoff hunt.
