Week 12 Recap: Winners & Losers

by The Executive Director

Winners

Looking to prove all of the critics wrong, The Big Hurt had a perfect Week 12 to seize control of the East. He now has a $600 lead on the rest of the pack….T-Ferg went +$300 which was good enough to move back ahead for the North lead….Thine was perfect as well this week and is in a tie for the overall lead. Also of note, Boss Hardigan is +$1,500 over the last three weeks. Don’t count him out just yet. Yaz also was perfect this week, staying in striking distance of the leader…..Not to be outdone, Kenny Powers is +$1,500 over the last two weeks and now holds the overall lead via tiebreaker. He’s enjoying a comfortable $1,000 lead on the rest of the West.

Losers

In a week when most East Division teams thrived, Bud Fox dropped $500 and is now the cellar dweller….A few franchises with no bets in the North, which won’t help things at this point. But look at the bright side, you could be Don Mattingly and have just lost $1,000….Kimmy Gibbler and Patrick Bateman severely damaged their playoff hopes in Week 12, each losing $500….In the West, Chalky Studebaker keeps moving in the wrong direction.

Week 11 Recap: Winners & Losers

by The Executive Director

Winners

Art Schlichter made big moves in Week 11, winning $500 and pulling into a tie for the East lead. He currently holds the tiebreaker (winning percentage). Rick Moranis also won $500 and is throwing his proverbial hat into the ring for the division race….After a setback in Week 10, a perfect week for Gordon Bombay put him back in front for the North Division and for the overall lead. Kiko Garcia and The Beard of Zeus also had strong performances, tightening up the playoff picture….Thine now has a death grip on the South Division, but Waldo Geraldo Faldo won his wild card bet and is also within striking distance….What a week for Kenny Powers! He won $1,000, took over the West and is now just $100 back of the overall lead.

Losers

No big negative weeks in the East Division, so the big loser was The Big Hurt. His late season meltdown is coming in right on schedule….Not a ton of negative movement in the North, so we’ll just take a moment of silence to observe what has become of Don Mattingly….Yaz didn’t lose much in Week 11, but he’s teetering on the edge of the postseason with six weeks to go….Babe can’t string together wins and one wonders if his 2016 campaign is fading fast.

Week 10 Recap: Winners & Losers

by The Executive Director

Winners

Not much changed at the top in the East. The biggest shift was Shecky, winning his wild card bet and rising up the standings. He still has ground to make up, but this jump could turn around his season….T-Ferg eked out $100 this week, but it was enough for him to pull into a tie for the North lead….Boss Hardigan was the only franchise in the FMFL to win $500 in Week 10, temporarily lifting his spirits in the South. Meanwhile, Thine increased his lead in the division and is the overall leader as well….The People’s Champ had a ho-hum week but inched closer to the top of the West due to everyone else falling back.

Losers

Face continues his downward spiral in the gutter of the East, submitting late bets and losing them all for a -$600 week….Gordon Bombay had a chance to make the North Division a runaway, but slipped up in Week 10, losing all of his bets. He is now tied for the division lead, but is out in front due to the winning percentage tiebreaker….A rough week for Patrick Bateman, who was on the doorstep of the South lead, but instead lost $500. If the season ended today, he’d be on the outside looking in to the playoffs (losing out on the last spot due to winning percentage)….Babe dropped $500 this week and now needs a big turnaround to contend in the crowded West. And, then there’s The Notorious ABT. Gross.
