Kimmy Gibbler loses a heartbreaker wild card bet on the Giants in London, but still isn’t out of it as we are nearing the halfway point of the season.

Commentary: The wild card reared its ugly head towards Rick Moranis, who lost out by betting $800 on Pittsburgh. Gordon Bombay and Blossom Russo continued to roll, while Chris B. Corey and Mr. Marbles locked up atop the North Division. At the almost halfway point of the season, ten wild card bets remain, and no one is out of it yet (well, maybe Rick Moranis is).

Commentary: Oh, baby, baby it’s a wild world. Blossom Russo channels his inner-Cat Stevens and hits his wild card bet of New England and wins $700 for the week and takes over the overall lead. The People’s Champ continues his hot streak and takes over the lead in the West with Gordon Bombay nipping at his heels. And Chris B. Corey jumps out to take the lead in the North. Week 6 shook up the playoff picture, and new life was revived into Rick Moranis and Mr. DeBlasis, with both creeping back into contention.

Commentary: Blossom Russo makes his move in the East, knocking Don Mattingly out of first place, which he has held since Week 2. Kimmy Gibbler loses $500, and for the moment, drops back in the race for first in the division. Things tighten up in the North, with Chris B. Corey creeping up on Mr. Marbles. The People’s Champ wins $500 and vaults himself into the West race. Rick Moranis loses $100 on the week, still searching for that winning week, but Bayonnaise looks as if he wants to join him in the cellar. Once again, no one pulls the trigger on their wild card pick.

Commentary – Mr. Marbles lengthened his lead in the North, while Don Mattingly’s second consecutive bet of the Chiefs (or Chefs – http://youtube.com/watch?v=hSAXLayoMKI ) helped him keep pace with Blossom Russo’s perfect week. Rick Moranis finally got off the schnide, winning his first wager of the season, but losing $100 for the week.
