Week 9 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Judge Smails hit on his wild card and is back at even money halfway through the year. He might not make a push for the East title, but he’s in the mix for the playoffs….Don Mattingly closed his North deficit, taking it from $900 to just $100 in one week’s time….A huge move for Waldo Geraldo Faldo in the South as he won his wild card bet and the rest of the division stumbled….And in the West, The People’s Champ continued to thrive with a perfect week, and Yaz kept pace with a flawless week as well.
Losers
There were many losers in Week 9, as the FMFL went a collective -$4,800, which was by far the worst week of the season. In the East, T-Ferg lost his wild card bet and dropped $1,000 for the week. Chris B. Corey and The Big Hurt also went winless….Kenny Powers missed his big bet and lost $1,000. Babe and Bud Fox lost $500 as the North division tightened up….The top four franchises in the South all lost $500. Rick Moranis and Chalky Studebaker each went 0-for-5. Thine and Karl Hungus also lost all their bets….In the West, The Beard of Zeus and Bayonnaise lost $500 and are seeing their playoff chances start to slip away.

Week 8 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Boss Hardigan continues to surge. He’s +$1,500 over the last two weeks and now has a big lead in the East….Gordon Bombay picked a good week to be perfect, as the rest of the North failed to capitalize….We have a new leader in the South. Rick Moranis has been consistent all year and now leads this crowded division….And in the West, Kimmy Gibbler went into last week $900 behind the division leader. After a +$300 week and a lot of stumbling from others, she’s just $100 off the pace.
Losers
Rough week for the East, as Chris B. Corey, Judge Smails, and Mr. Marbles lost $500….Similar struggles in the North, as Donnie Jeffcoat, Shecky, and Kenny Powers went winless and are occupying the bottom of the division….Neon Boudeaux went away from his conservative approach and picked two teams that both lost. Thine went with a conservative approach and went 0-for-4. Two different roads to the same winless destination in the South….And The People’s Champ, Yaz, and Blossom Russo all lost $500 in Week 8. The West division race has tightened as we get closer to the midpoint of the season.
